He Won't Use Me If I Don't Go

If the blind man needs a guiding hand,
I can lift him up; I can help him stand.
If the hungry child needs a loaf of bread,
I can share a meal, I can cradle his head.
I can share God's Word and let them know.
But He won't use me if I don't go.

When the homeless father beds his sons at night,
I can share my bounty to help his plight.
If the single mom needs a comb or brush,
I can meet her need with a gentle touch.
When He calls my name I can help them grow,
But He won't use me if I don't go.

The teenage boy needs a fatherly ear,
The teenage girl lives with doubt and fear.
There's a lonely woman without a friend.
This man needs a job, but his past shows a trend.
If I love them as Christ does, then they'll know.
But He won't use me if I don't go.

If I listen to heartaches I can share the pain.
If I comfort the babies I can ease the strain.
If their way is encumbered with evil and sin
I can tell of my Savior and invite them in.
I can share in God's mission where He leads me, but lo,
I know He won't use me if I don't go.
